The Island

The Island, located just north of Dublin near the cool town of Malahide, is one of Ireland’s most difficult tests of golf. Set among towering dunes on a narrow peninsula bordered by the Irish Sea, estuary and marshland, it was accessible only by boat until the 1970s. The links offers a visually striking and strategically demanding round and be ready from the 1^st tee shot because the par 4 1^st sets the table for a challenge. I also love the elevation change here and there is no weakness at the “Beast from the East”. Just like Tralee and Baltray, it’s in most enthusiasts Top 10 in Ireland.
