Portsalon Golf Club, located in County Donegal, is a founding member of the Golfing Union of Ireland. Founded in 1891 and upgraded later by the iconic Pat Ruddy, it flexes its muscles early with the par 4 2nd, regarded as one of the best holes in Ireland. It has double greens, tight fairways and a few elevated tees with superb views of Ballymastocker beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Yet another course worth the journey to the most northern county in the Republic of Ireland.
