Prestwick Golf Club

Prestwick Golf Club was founded in 1851 and is famously known as the original host of The Open Championship, having staged the first x12 starting in 1860. Old Tom Morris and the family name will be forever linked with the history and evolution of the game of golf. It has also played a huge part in establishing Prestwick as one of the world’s most iconic golfing venues and a must play links. I attempted to play the course once in the heavy wind and rain and fell into the bunker on the 3^rd. Dusting my ego and my shorts off several minutes later, played the par 4 17^th which still plays as it did in 1860.
