Royal Aberdeen Golf Club

Royal Aberdeen Golf Club was founded in 1780 and is the 6^th oldest golf club in the world. The Course was originally designed by the Simpson Brothers, Archie and Robert of Carnoustie and later re-bunkered and lengthened by James Braid to ensure the classic links kept pace with the modern game. A unique point of interest, in 1873 they are probably responsible for trying to speed up pace of play with the 5-minute rule looking for a golf ball…if only that was adhered to today!
