Banff Springs Golf Club

Many consider this Stanley Thompson design as his finest work and its certainly the Crown Jewel in the Canadian Rockies. Money was no barrier for the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR), and when unveiled in 1928, Banff Springs was the most expensive course ever built. Canada’s premier architect, Thompson used his visionary talent on the original 18, as it sits along the Bow River under the snow-capped peaks of Sulphur Mountain and Mount Rundle. The Par 3 4^th, “Devil’s Cauldron” is one of the most famous holes in golf. Your tee shot at the Par 4 15^th, (the original 1^st) is like hitting into a picture, so grip it and rip it!
