Fota Island

Fota Island located on the edge of Cork city, was originally designed in 1993 by Christy O’Connor Jr. and Peter McEvoy, following later by Jeff Howes. It has hosted the Irish Open on 3 occasions (2001, 2002, 2014) and features well placed bunkers, undulating greens, and beautiful forested surroundings. The par 5 18th is a box office finish, and the clubhouse mixes old and new world elegance.
