Donegal Golf Club also referred to locally as Murvagh is a dramatic 18‑hole championship course often nicknamed the “Muirfield of Ireland.” Originally designed by Eddie Hackett and updated by Pat Ruddy, the layout features two loops of nine — one running along exposed dunes and another tucked closer inland. The course is being further enhanced by Paul McGinley while the Par 5 8th is one of my favourites in the country. I’m a big fan of the links and had my Captains away day here in 2014.
