Baltray

Baltray, formally County Louth Golf Club, is a classic links and home to the East of Ireland Championship. Known for its subtle contours, firm running fairways & greens with strategic bunkering for this free-flowing naturel design. It has 3 Par 5’s in the first 6 holes and has hosted 2 Irish Opens, earning praise for its fairness, challenge, and unspoiled character. Some fella named Shane Lowry won The Irish Open as an amateur in 2009 and one of my favourite clubhouses that maintains that old world charm. The best clubhouse food in the country, great pints and deserves to be higher on the list!
