Portmarnock

Portmarnock is one of Ireland’s most historic and respected links. Founded in 1894, the links features three nine-hole loops (Red, Blue, and Yellow) and is known for its firm fairways, subtle greens and classy pot bunkers. Set on a sand-dune peninsula just north of Dublin city centre, its surrounded on three sides by water, which highlight that wind and direction constantly influence strategy. The course has a rich tournament pedigree too, having hosted 19 Irish Open’s, the Walker Cup and the Canada Cup. Having played numerous times, I’ve never seen a blade of grass out of place and always presented in immaculate condition.
